“Hana-fubuki” edible gold leaf

“Hana-fubuki” is high-quality gold leaf for use in food.

In the past, the same gold leaf was used for crafts and for food. Our production processes for gold leaf for food and gold leaf for other uses are completely separate. Gold leaf makes a gorgeous impression and is safe for use in food.

Even a small amount of gold improves the appearance of products, and since it is odorless and tasteless, there is no danger of it affecting the flavor of the food it embellishes.

Gold leaf is approved as a food additive* by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW).
*Food additive: Gold leaf is approved for use as a food additive other than chemically synthesized compounds based on the Enforcement Regulation of Food Sanitation Law (Ordinance No.76 of MHLW modified on September 18, 1998.)
